[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The landslide warning levels have been downgraded in some areas including Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk.
According to the Korea Forest Service on the 13th, the landslide warning levels in these four regions were downgraded from ‘Severe’ to ‘Caution’ as of 6:30 PM the previous day.
This measure was taken as all nationwide heavy rain advisories and landslide forecasts (watches and warnings) in the Gyeongsang region were lifted, and the expected rainfall amount decreased, lowering the possibility of landslides.
Earlier, the Korea Forest Service had raised the landslide warning level to ‘Severe’ for 16 cities and provinces nationwide, excluding Jeju Island, as of 12 PM on the 8th.
