While President Moon Jae-in visited heavy rain damage areas such as Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollanam-do, it is said that the First Lady visited Gangwon Province to assist with recovery efforts.
On the 12th, the First Lady visited Igil-ri, Dongsong-eup, Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon Province, where the entire village had been submerged. Local residents and volunteers who had gathered at the meal distribution site for lunch were surprised to see a familiar figure serving them food. The person believed to be the First Lady was present at the site without prior notice.
