[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour KGㆍEdaily Ladies Open has been canceled.

On the 12th, the KLPGA Tour announced, "After repeated discussions with the title sponsors KG Group and Edaily, the tournament has been canceled this year due to the sponsors' circumstances and will be held next year." This measure was taken out of concern over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The tournament was scheduled to be held for three days starting from the 4th of next month at the Turning Point Golf Club in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. As a result, the KLPGA Tour has had four consecutive tournament cancellations and will enter a 'forced break' for one month.

Previously, the High1 Resort Ladies Open (August 20?23), the major Hanwha Classic (August 27?30), and the All For You-Renoma Championship (September 10?13) were all canceled early due to COVID-19. The KLPGA Tour will hold the Daewoo Winia MBN Ladies Open for three days starting on the 14th at the Daeyu Montvert Golf Club in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. The next tournament will be the OK Savings Bank Park Seri Invitational held four weeks later on September 18 at New Seoul Golf Club in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.
