[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 12th that it held a 'Day of Integrity Pledge' event with the participation of its executives and employees.

This event was organized to enhance the integrity awareness of executives and employees through the strong declaration of integrity by President Bang Moon-kyu, aiming to become a clean bank trusted by the public.

After the event, the bank's Integrity Guardians distributed 'Integrity Oil Papers' to each department and branch to help spread the culture of integrity among all employees. The Integrity Guardians consist of representatives from 93 departments and branches, including overseas offices, and serve as the vanguard for disseminating integrity policies and promoting a culture of integrity.

The delivered Integrity Oil Papers are inscribed with integrity phrases such as "Integrity is the most profitable business (Dasan Jeong Yak-yong)" along with the bank's CI. According to the bank, this symbolizes the commitment to thoroughly wipe away even the smallest trace of unfairness and maintain the attitude of integrity among the bank's personnel.

At the event, President Bang said, "Through this event, all executives and employees of the bank, including myself, have renewed our determination to become a clean bank trusted by the public," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to improve anti-corruption infrastructure and promote a culture of integrity."

The bank plans to externally declare its commitment to integrity by delivering the Integrity Oil Papers to client companies and related organizations, and to participate in spreading a culture of integrity in the private sector as well.

Meanwhile, considering the COVID-19 situation, the bank's Day of Integrity Pledge event was held as a small-scale event with only nine representatives of Integrity Guardians from each headquarters attending.
