[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said on the 12th, "The government has already expressed its willingness to accept the formation of a consultative body proposed by the Medical Association, and we are continuously knocking on the door of dialogue to communicate with the medical community with an open attitude," adding, "I hope the Medical Association will come to the table for dialogue as soon as possible and work together with the Ministry of Health and Welfare to pool wisdom."

Prime Minister Chung stated this during the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) meeting on the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) held at the Government Seoul Office on the same day, expressing concern that "the Medical Association has announced a collective strike scheduled for this Friday, which is very worrisome."
