According to Gwangju City, patients number 211 to 216 were newly confirmed as of 8 a.m. on that day. They are domestic nationals who arrived from Uzbekistan.

Additionally, the city stated that the confirmation of a man in his 50s, who was announced as positive on the 11th, is being withheld.

According to the city, this man tested 'positive' in the first test conducted by a private entrusted institution on the 11th, but subsequently tested 'negative' in the second test by the Gwangju Health and Environment Research Institute. Therefore, as of midnight on the 12th, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency is withholding the confirmation and conducting a third test.
