[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A woman in her 60s who went missing in Eumseong, Chungbuk on the 2nd was found in the Han River between Namyangju and Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, after 9 days.
The Namyangju Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 11th that they had recovered the woman's body. Through fingerprinting, the police confirmed that the woman was Ms. A, in her 60s, who went missing in Eumseong, Chungbuk on the 2nd.
Ms. A went missing around 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd at a stream in Ohhyang 6-ri, Gamgok-myeon, Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk, when a residential temporary building was swept away by a rapid current.
Later, Ms. A's body was discovered by a citizen riding a bicycle on the same day. The location where Ms. A was found is about 80 km away along the Namhan River from the place where she went missing.
The police plan to hand over the body to the bereaved family.
