[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 11th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Drone School' to create jobs for local youth.
This recruitment targets youth aged 19 to 49 who have an address in Goheung-gun, and applications are being accepted until the 31st.
The planned number of recruits is 20, and candidates will be selected through a document screening based on internal selection criteria. The education fee is 3 million KRW per person, but participants only need to pay 1.5 million KRW after subsidies.
The education location is Goheung Returning Farmers and Returning Villagers Happiness School in Mangju-ri, Namyang-myeon, where participants will complete 60 hours of theory and practical training and be supported to obtain a national qualification certificate.
The education will be operated by Marine Robotics Co., Ltd., a professional training institution designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, from the 7th to the 25th of next month.
Upon obtaining the drone pilot license, participants can learn aerial photography and aerial pest control techniques to apply them in actual fieldwork, and can seek employment or start a business in related companies.
Anyone interested in drones, such as those who want to perform large-scale reclamation aerial pest control or those who own drones and need certification, can apply.
Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form posted on the Goheung-gun website's public notice section and sending it by mail or submitting it in person. For inquiries, contact the Population Policy Team.
A county official said, "This project is one of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's population decline area program contests, and we will continue to link it to job creation such as obtaining national qualifications, employment, and entrepreneurship in related companies by providing drone flight technology education to local youth."
