[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Japanese singer and actor Yamashita Tomohisa (35) is under suspicion of having spent time drinking with minors and staying together at a hotel.
On the 10th, Japanese media outlets Friday and Weekly Bunshun reported that Yamashita Tomohisa, along with his agency colleague Kamenashi Kazuya (34), had a drinking party with several acquaintances at a bar in Tokyo on the 30th of last month.
The issue is that there were high school girls aged 17 and 18 at the gathering. In particular, it was reported that Yamashita Tomohisa moved to a hotel and stayed together with the 17-year-old woman after the drinking party.
In response, Johnny's, the agency representing Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya, stated that "the two did not know that they were minors."
