Operation of ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch’ in Jungnang-gu

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) operates the ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch’ to assist residents who wish to start a business.

The ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch,’ established in the former Sangbong 2-dong Community Center building with a total floor area of 241.75㎡ across the 2nd and 3rd floors, provides various startup-related information such as common startup education (including business plan writing) and startup mentoring. It also offers space rental services for startup meetings of prospective entrepreneurs, promotional design support, and a photo studio for product photography for early-stage startups.

Additionally, until the 13th, 1-day special lectures will be held for (prospective) early-stage entrepreneurs, startup clubs (teams), young entrepreneurs, and the general public interested in startups.

The lectures include ▲ Basic Business Plan Writing ▲ Advanced Business Plan Writing ▲ Startup Trends and Mindset ▲ Basic Intellectual Property Strategy ▲ Basic Tax and Financial Management, which are expected to be very helpful for prospective entrepreneurs.

The operating hours of the ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch’ are weekdays from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Residents who wish to use the facility must make a reservation in advance via the ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch’ website or by phone.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Through the operation of the Seoul Startup Cafe Sangbong Branch, a good hub has been created as a space for exchanging startup information for prospective entrepreneurs dreaming of starting a business. Going forward, Jungnang-gu will provide unwavering support to help realize startup ideas.”

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the district limits visits to employment counseling (mentoring), product photography in the photo studio, and space support to those with reservations. Face-to-face lectures will comply with quarantine guidelines by installing transparent acrylic partitions, and the startup cafe will be operated accordingly.
