Dongseo University Department of Tourism Completes 2nd Tourism and MICE Professional Practitioner Course

Dongseo University Department of Tourism Completes 2nd Tourism and MICE Professional Practitioner Course Public institutions, companies, and students who completed the Tourism MICE Professional Practitioner Course organized by the Department of Tourism at Dongseo University are cheering after finishing the course.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University Department of Tourism announced on the 10th that the '2nd Tourism·MICE Professional Practitioner Course' attracted a total of 108 participants, including 90 executives and employees from 38 public institutions and companies, and 18 students.


This course was designed with customized lectures necessary for the tourism and MICE sectors in the COVID-19 era.


The lectures included topics such as the 4th Industrial Revolution and Tourism Innovation (Professor Kang Hae-sang, Dongseo University), Travel Vlog Trends Viewed Through the Content of Travel Mad (CEO Jo Jun-gi, Travel Mad), Human Mobility from a Physicist's Perspective (Points, Lines, and Time) (Professor Kim Sang-wook, Kyung Hee University), and Self Expressionism - My Lifestyle, My Leisure (Vice President Song Gil-young, Daum Soft).


This training focused on strengthening the capabilities of practitioners in the Busan tourism MICE industry, which has faced a downturn since COVID-19, to overcome the crisis and explore directions for moving forward in the new environment.


Hong Jeong-hwa, head of the Dongseo University Tourism·MICE Centum Industrial Complex Campus Project Group, said, “Although the 2nd Tourism·MICE Professional Practitioner Course is taking place during a difficult time due to COVID-19, we must seek ways for everyone to coexist and support each other rather than being alone.”


He added, “If industry, academia, and government collaborate and put their heads together during these challenging times in the tourism industry, we can overcome the difficulties together.”
