[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it will recruit candidates for the ‘2040 Generation Young Farmers Development Project’ until the 21st of next month.
The 2040 Generation Young Farmers Development Project selects 20 agricultural talents aged 18 to under 45 residing in the area and supports farming start-up funds (70% subsidy rate) for agricultural facilities, smart farms, and the establishment of a 6th industry base.
It is being promoted as part of the population policy ‘Salmon Project,’ a pledge project of Jangseong-gun’s 7th elected administration.
This project aims to reduce the burden of farming start-ups for young people and create conditions for smooth independent management, and since its launch in 2018, it has supported 39 young farmers so far.
Youth farmers wishing to apply for the project must first acquire skills such as agricultural life planning and how to write a start-up business plan through specialized start-up education conducted at the Agricultural Technology Center.
Afterwards, applicants submit their self-written business plans, and Jangseong-gun selects the final project candidates through document screening, presentation evaluation, and on-site inspection.
Details required for project application can be found in the notices section on the Jangseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center website. For further information about the project, inquiries can be made to the Agricultural Education Team at the Agricultural Technology Center.
Yoo Doo-seok, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, said, “Through the 2040 Generation Young Farmers Development Project, we support early settlement so that young farmers can establish themselves as key agents leading the future agriculture of Jangseong.”
