Audi Launches the 4th Generation A8 Model with Enhanced Luxury

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Audi announced on the 10th that it will launch the flagship prestige large sedan ‘The new Audi A8 50 TDI quattro’ and ‘The new Audi A8 L 50 TDI quattro’ in the Korean market.

Audi described the new models as "the completely redesigned 4th generation model of the ‘Audi A8,’ showcasing dynamic performance, expanded interior space and ultimate comfort, a more elegant yet dynamic design, and state-of-the-art convenience and safety features, representing the ‘future of Audi luxury class.’"

Both models are equipped with a 3.0ℓ V6 diesel direct injection turbocharged (TDI) engine and an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, combined with Audi’s permanent all-wheel-drive system, quattro. They deliver a maximum output of 286 horsepower and a peak torque of 61.18 kg·m, with a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.9 seconds. Fuel efficiency based on combined mileage is 11.3 km/ℓ (city 10.1 km/ℓ, highway 13.1 km/ℓ) for ‘The new Audi A8 50 TDI quattro’ and 11.1 km/ℓ (city 10.2 km/ℓ, highway 12.6 km/ℓ) for ‘The new Audi A8 L 50 TDI quattro.’

Notably, the models apply Audi’s innovative ‘Dynamic All-Wheel Steering,’ which combines stability without sway even during sporty steering, optimizing the steering movement to the ideal wheel angle for enhanced handling.

The new models come standard with a Sport Exterior Package, emphasizing a sporty and sophisticated appearance with front bumper aluminum blades and sporty side sill designs. The vertically extended front and rear meet smoothly to highlight an elegant impression, while the newly designed wide and straight single-frame grille and sleek, sharp body design symbolically represent sporty elegance and a refined, progressive status.

The interior design boasts spacious and comfortable cabin space, highlighting Audi’s meticulous design sensibility. Features include a black headlining, electrically adjustable steering column with shift paddles and heating on the double-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel, Valcona leather comfort seats, and Nappa leather packages applied to the dashboard top, center console, and door armrests.

Additionally, advanced features such as ▲Audi Side Assist ▲front and rear parking assist systems with surround view display and 360° cameras ▲Pre Sense 360° ▲Side Assist are included.

The price of ‘The new Audi A8 50 TDI quattro’ is 134,576,000 KRW, and ‘The new Audi A8 L 50 TDI quattro’ is priced at 144,393,000 KRW. (Including VAT, based on reduced individual consumption tax)
