[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actress Han Hyo-joo shed tears as she recalled memories in her hometown Cheongju.

On the 9th, Han Hyo-joo appeared as a guest introducing her hometown Cheongju on the tvN variety show 'Seoul Village Boy.'

That day, Han Hyo-joo warmly greeted Lee Seung-gi, who had worked with her in the drama 'Brilliant Legacy.' When Lee Seung-gi said, "Han Hyo-joo was very worried before appearing on this program," Han Hyo-joo replied, "I realized I didn't know much about Cheongju, so I started studying a lot," and introduced Cheongju by saying, "While studying, I found out that Cheongju's area is 1.6 times that of Seoul, and its population is 850,000."

Han Hyo-joo visited Yullyang-dong, where she used to live. She said, "For me, Cheongju is Yullyang-dong. I only lived in Yullyang-dong and never left."

Han Hyo-joo passed through the neighborhood and visited her alma mater, Cheongju Girls' High School. She revealed that she nurtured her dream of acting in high school. Han Hyo-joo explained, "I saw a child actor in a drama acting so well. Watching that performance made me want to try acting. At that time, there was a model contest, so I applied for fun, and while on my way home from school, '02' appeared on my phone. They told me to come for an audition, and that's how I started working."

She then said she left Cheongju to become an actress. Han Hyo-joo said, "Back then, when I left, I didn't feel like I was really leaving, so I didn't realize I was leaving. I just went to find what I wanted to do. Looking back now, I think I should have definitely felt grateful for the place where I lived at that time before leaving," and showed tears, saying, "And this place is before experiencing a fierce life. I have many emotions."
