[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] The government will strengthen psychological support measures, including promoting a 'Special Travel Week' in October to alleviate the public's depression and fatigue caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) announced on the 9th that it discussed and reviewed the 'Psychological Support Measures to Overcome COVID-19 Depression (Blue).'
According to the CDSCH, COVID-19 depression is spreading due to social isolation and refraining from going out. In particular, concerns about an increase in extreme choices have grown, leading to calls for psychological support measures through targeted and phased approaches.
Accordingly, the government plans to promote a Special Travel Week in October to relieve the public's social fatigue.
