"Vehicles Must Detour When Entering Yeouido or Using Olympic-daero"
The flood advisory issued on the Han River Bridge in Seoul on the 6th has been lifted. The Han River Flood Control Office of the Ministry of Environment announced on the 7th that the water levels at the Han River Bridge and Daegokgyo points in Seoul continued to decline, leading to the lifting of the flood advisory for the lower Han River areas of Seoul and Seongnam around 9 a.m. As the Han River water levels dropped, major roads in Seoul that had been closed were reopened. [Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Seoul City will restrict both directions of the section between Dongjak Bridge and Yeomchang IC around the Yeoui Bridge main line on Olympic-daero starting from 1 PM.
Earlier, Seoul City had restricted the Yeoui Upper IC and Yeoui Lower IC on Olympic-daero from 10:30 AM. This is due to increased discharge from Paldang Dam caused by heavy rainfall concentrated in Seoul and the upper Han River area.
Additionally, the section from Umyeon Bridge on Yangjaecheon-ro to Yeongdong 1 Bridge has been restricted since 9:30 AM. The Jamsu Bridge and Gaehwa Six Gates remain fully closed.
Seoul City advised, "Vehicles entering Yeouido via Olympic-daero and those trying to use Olympic-daero from Yeouido should take detours," and stated that the restrictions in this area will continue for the time being.
