[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] An invention class program, led by inventors visiting schools in person, is being operated at elementary, middle, and high schools in Busan.
Busan Science Education Center announced on the 9th that from the 3rd of this month until November 20th, it will conduct the "Invention Class Visiting Schools - Challenge! I am also an Inventor!" program for students in science clubs and invention clubs at elementary, middle, and high schools.
This program has been running for the second year to promote invention-related education and the Busan Student Science Invention Competition.
Fifteen invention specialist instructors visit science and invention clubs at 66 schools?20 elementary schools, 33 middle schools, and 13 high schools?teaching and conducting practical sessions for a total of 1,295 students.
The invention specialist instructors provide club students with information related to invention, such as participating in invention competitions, brainstorming and refining ideas, and researching ideas, as well as conducting engaging invention practice education.
Park Hyun-jun, director of the Science Education Center, said, "In a situation where experiential learning has disappeared due to COVID-19, we believe this will greatly help provide students with opportunities for invention education and increase their interest in invention."
