The Nakdong River Flood Control Office issued a flood advisory at 6:40 PM on the 8th for the Kumho River in Sinam-dong, Daegu, and sent a safety disaster message to citizens urging them to "pay attention to safety."
According to Daegu City, as of 7 PM that day, Gachang Dam slightly exceeded the full water level (140m) at 140.66m, with a reservoir rate of 105.2%. In the case of Gongsan Dam, the full water level (96m) was exceeded by 1m, showing a reservoir rate of 107%.
Daegu, where a heavy rain warning was issued at 1:40 PM that day, received heavy rain exceeding 250mm across all areas from the previous day until 7 PM that day: 301mm in Seo-gu, 290mm in Buk-gu, 299mm in Dalseong-gun, 269mm in Nam-gu, and 258mm in Jung-gu.
The Daegu Meteorological Office forecasted that an additional 50 to 150mm of rain is expected to fall by the 9th.
