Heavy Rain Disrupts Operations at Kumho Tire Gwangju and Gokseong Plants

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kumho Tire, which has business sites in Gwangju and Gokseong, experienced disruptions in operations due to heavy rain.

According to Kumho Tire on the 8th, out of concern for safety accidents caused by the heavy rain, the Gwangju and Gokseong factories sent all morning shift workers home and temporarily suspended operations.

At the Gwangju factory adjacent to the Hwangryong River, muddy water flowed into the factory as the river water level rose, but there was no additional damage such as electrical leakage or equipment failure.

At the Gokseong factory, the adjacent road was submerged by the swollen water, causing delays for workers returning home at one point.
