Over 100m of Seomjin River Collapsed Due to Heavy Rain... [Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] The embankment of the Seomjin River partially collapsed after enduring two days of heavy rain.


According to the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters on the 8th, around 12:50 PM, about 100 meters of the Seomjin River embankment near Geumgokgyo Bridge in Jiseok-ri, Geumji-myeon, Namwon-si, collapsed.


At around 1:30 PM on the same day, the fire authorities issued a Level 2 response, mobilizing personnel and equipment from 5 to 6 fire stations, including the local and adjacent fire stations, to assess the damage situation.
