Ulsan Ulju-gun to Ban Tents and Cooking in Picnic Area Parking Lots

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan Ulju-gun is strengthening guidance and crackdowns on pitching tents or cooking in parking lots.

Ulju-gun will conduct guidance on illegal activities in public parking lots around recreational areas, such as Daewoonsan Public Parking Lot and Jinha Public Parking Lot, which are popular with tourists during the summer vacation season, until the end of August.

The guidance targets tent installation and cooking activities within public parking lots. All illegal activities using the parking lots for purposes other than parking are prohibited. Complaints have been raised that indiscriminate illegal activities in public parking lots have caused inconvenience to other users.

Ulju-gun plans to secure the safety of visitors through guidance to eradicate illegal activities by organizing public parking lot management personnel until August 31.

Baek Jin-baek, head of the Transportation Policy Division of Ulju-gun, said, “We will reduce inconveniences caused by illegal activities in public parking lots around recreational areas through continuous guidance and publicity.”
