[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Due to heavy rain causing flooding of the tracks, the operation of KTX and regular trains between Iksan and Yeosu on the Jeolla Line has been suspended.

Korea Railroad (Korail) announced on the 8th, "Due to flooding of the Jeolla Line tracks and rising water levels near Gurye Station bridge, all trains including KTX and regular trains between Iksan and Yeosu Expo on the Jeolla Line have been suspended since 10 a.m."

Flooding occurred on the tracks between Dongsan and Jeonju Station, and the water level of the bridge rose between Gokseong and Amnok.

Accordingly, all trains on the Jeolla Line (KTX, Saemaeul, Mugunghwa) are operating only between Yongsan and Iksan, and the section between Iksan and Yeosu Expo has been suspended.

Korail urged, "Passengers using Jeolla Line trains must check the train operation status in advance through Korail Talk or the customer center, and use alternative transportation."
