Flood Warning Issued for Nakdong River Areas in Miryang and Haman ... Traffic Control on 22 Busan Roads

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On the morning of the 8th, with heavy rain of up to 50mm per hour falling in the southern region, a flood advisory was issued for the Nakdong River area.
The Nakdong River Flood Control Office issued a flood advisory at around 8:40 a.m. as the water level rose near Samrangjin Bridge in Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province.
At 9:30 a.m., a flood advisory was also issued for the area around Gye-nae-ri, Haman County, Nakdong River.
Busan City issued an emergency vehicle evacuation order due to concerns of flooding in the low-lying areas along the Nakdong River and Samnak Ecological Park in Sasang District following the flood advisory in Haman County.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency is also expanding traffic control in the flooded areas.
The number of traffic control sections increased from 18 as of 9:25 p.m. on the 7th to 22 as of 8 a.m. on the 8th.
Traffic control was implemented at Samnak Ecological Park and Deokcheon Drainage Station, and control of underpasses is also being expanded. The Mugok, Beomcheon, Gaegum, Dangam, Choryang 1, and Samsung 2 underpasses are currently closed.
Roads including Yeonan Bridge, Sebyeong Bridge, 55 Supply Depot, Suyeon Bridge, Emart Beom 4 Bridge, Yeongnak Park Underpass, Gyodae~Nammun-gu Rotary, Woam-ro in front of Hopogalbi, Gamcheon Dusong Tunnel, Dadae 1 Police Center, Jangrim Whale Fish Cake, Amnam-dong in front of Dongyang Cement, Gadukdo Janghang Pension, Suran Bridge, Gamcheon Drainage Station~Rotary, and Ecological Park Entrance~Clock Tower are also under traffic control.
