The Korea Native Chicken Association announced on the 7th that, together with E-Mart, it will hold a "Thank You Event Commemorating the Sambok Heat and Malbok" offering a 30% discount on all native chicken products until August 12.
According to the association, the products sold during the E-Mart appreciation event are native chickens carefully raised by farmers and hygienically slaughtered, available for purchase at a 30% discounted price.
Moon Jeong-jin, president of the Korea Native Chicken Association, said, "We prepared this event to express our gratitude to consumers who love native chicken," adding, "Native chicken is known to help boost immunity during COVID-19, the Sambok heat, and the rainy season. It is recorded to warm the spleen and stomach, enhance digestion, strengthen bone marrow, and invigorate energy, making it an ideal food for restoring vitality in weakened individuals."
An E-Mart representative stated, "We are pleased to participate in this meaningful event," and added, "E-Mart will continue to repay consumers' love with good products to meet consumer needs and promote health."
Meanwhile, native chicken has become known as a "protein to always have" among skilled homemakers and young people who prefer healthy weight loss in the post-COVID-19 era. Recently, native chicken omakase restaurants, native chicken cauldron baeksuk (boiled chicken) houses, and hot plate native chicken stew specialty restaurants have been receiving focused attention from famous domestic influencers, highlighting the rich meat aroma and chewy texture of native chicken.
Native chicken recipes can be found on the Korea Native Chicken Association website under > Native Chicken News > Native Chicken Cooking, introducing various dishes made with native chicken such as samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), steak, jjim (steamed dishes), kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), bulgogi hot pot, and stir-fried chicken stew.
