Seoul Business Agency Launches 'Seoul Love Employment Happiness Support Project' Providing 400,000 KRW Seoul Love Gift Certificates per Person... For Companies Increasing or Maintaining Staff This Year, Total Support for 200 People, Online Applications Until 6 PM on the 14th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu District Office (Mayor Lee Seong) is launching the ‘Seoul Love Employment Happiness Support Project’ in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (CEO Jang Youngseung) to provide employee welfare funds to companies that maintain employment.
Guro-gu announced on the 7th that despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, it is preparing support measures for companies that chose to maintain employment for mutual growth, and as part of this, it is implementing the ‘Seoul Love Employment Happiness Support Project,’ which subsidizes employee welfare expenses with ‘Seoul Love Gift Certificates.’
The district office supports 100,000 KRW per person, and the Seoul Business Agency supports 300,000 KRW, providing a total of 400,000 KRW in Seoul Love Gift Certificates.
The support targets small and medium-sized enterprises located in Guro-gu with 5 to fewer than 30 regular employees that have increased or maintained their number of regular employees compared to last year. However, industries such as general entertainment bars and other gambling and betting businesses are excluded.
Participating companies pay their employees with Seoul Love Gift Certificates and then claim the costs. After verifying employment maintenance and gift certificate payment, the district office and Seoul Business Agency subsidize the purchase costs.
Companies can receive support of 400,000 KRW per employee, including the representative, up to a maximum of 12 million KRW.
Companies wishing to apply must submit an application form, consent form for personal information processing, and SME verification certificate through the Seoul Business Agency website by 6 p.m. on the 14th.
The total support scale is for 200 people, and if applications exceed 1.5 times the support scale during the recruitment period, the program will close early. Detailed information such as gift certificate purchase methods can be confirmed through the Seoul Business Agency and the Guro-gu District Office Job Support Division.
A Guro-gu official stated, “We expect the ‘Seoul Love Employment Happiness Support Project’ to help stabilize employment and revitalize the local economy,” and added, “We ask everyone to join forces to create a city without layoffs in Guro.”
