Gwanak-gu Supports Safe Accommodation for Families of COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Cases

To Prevent Secondary Community Transmission, Domestic Self-Quarantined Individuals Also Supported with Safe Accommodation Fees of 30,000 KRW per Night, Up to 390,000 KRW for 13 Nights

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will expand and implement support for quarantine family safe accommodations starting in August.

The safe accommodations, previously provided only to families of overseas entrants, will now be extended to families of domestic quarantine subjects as well, as a measure to prevent infection among family members living together in unavoidable circumstances.

Additionally, part of the accommodation fee will be subsidized to reduce the financial burden on families of those in quarantine.

The participating safe accommodations are CS Premier Hotel Seoul and Seoul National University Hoam Faculty House, with support of 30,000 KRW per night for families of quarantined individuals, up to a maximum of 390,000 KRW for 13 nights.

The eligible recipients are families of overseas entrants and domestic quarantine subjects. Residents wishing to use the service must apply at the safe accommodation with the overseas entrant’s flight ticket or quarantine notice along with a resident registration certificate.

To receive the fee support, users must submit a separate application form to the district office after using the accommodation. Detailed information regarding the fee support can be found on the district office website (News → Gwanak News) or at the safe accommodations.

Mayor Park Junhee stated, “Supporting the safe accommodation fees will not only reduce the financial burden on families of quarantined individuals but also help prevent secondary COVID-19 infections among family members, contributing to the prevention of community spread.”
