Paul Bassett Coffee Specialty Store Barista Recruitment Linked to Local Residents... Applications Accepted Until the 16th via M's Seed Recruitment Website 'Exclusive for Gangdong-gu'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) is recruiting employees to work as baristas in collaboration with M's Seed, a hiring company, through the 'Employment Connection Project' until the 16th to create jobs for local residents.
The barista recruitment connection project involves the district office handling job seeker recruitment promotion and educational support, while M's Seed separately conducts the hiring process for Gangdong residents, cooperating to expand local employment.
Gangdong-gu and M's Seed, an affiliate of Maeil Dairies, first signed a business agreement in 2018 to resolve youth unemployment in the area and promote an open employment atmosphere in companies.
Since then, over the past two years, a total of 52 Gangdong residents have been hired, becoming a model case of continuous job creation through cooperation between the community and businesses.
This year as well, employees are being recruited in the barista field at 'Paul Bassett,' M's Seed's flagship coffee specialty store brand.
The qualification requirements are applicants who wish to work as baristas, are residents of Gangdong, and are unemployed.
Applications can be submitted through M's Seed's recruitment website under the 'Gangdong-gu exclusive' application section.
Applicants should register their resumes on the recruitment website by August 16, the application deadline, and can select their preferred workplace when submitting their resume.
Hiring will proceed after document screening for disqualifications and interviews, followed by a probation period including on-site practical training for three months, after which regular employment conversion will be decided.
Additionally, at the end of the year, an employment connection project will be conducted targeting prospective graduates of specialized high schools in the region.
Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, “We will strive to revitalize the local economy through various methods such as the employment connection project to create jobs and employment opportunities for youth in the region.”
