Eunpyeong-gu Expands Electric 'SS Zones (Women’s Safety Villages)' for Single Female Households

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has extended the application period for the 'Safe Home Set Support Project for Single Women Households,' implemented as part of the 'SS Zone (Safe Singles Zone) Creation,' until the 28th of this month and expanded the project area to cover all neighborhoods in Eunpyeong-gu.

This 'Safe Home Set Support Project for Single Women Households' selects 100 single women households living in rented or monthly lease housing and provides four types of safe home sets.

Applications can be submitted to the local community service center of the resident's neighborhood by August 28.

The four types of safe home sets supported by Eunpyeong-gu include window locks, front door safety hooks, door opening sensors, and video phones. The selection of beneficiary households will be based on installation conditions and comprehensive suitability (such as rental deposit and applicant conditions).

Mayor Kim Mi-kyung stated, "This SS Zone creation project for single women households is implemented to create a safe living environment for women living alone, and we will continue to make greater efforts to build a safe women’s village where women feel secure."
