[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Lim Seul-ong, a singer and actor formerly of the group 2AM, was involved in a traffic accident on a rainy road that resulted in the death of a pedestrian who was jaywalking. Lim Seul-ong’s agency has issued a statement regarding the incident.

On the 4th, Jellyfish Entertainment, Lim Seul-ong’s agency, stated, "First, we sincerely offer our condolences to the victim and express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family" as they addressed Lim Seul-ong’s traffic accident that occurred on the 1st.

The agency explained, "Lim Seul-ong was driving his vehicle when the traffic accident happened on a rainy road. He immediately provided first aid at the scene, but unfortunately, the victim passed away while being transported to the hospital."

They added, "(Lim Seul-ong) underwent police investigation according to procedure and was later released to go home, but he is currently in a state of severe mental and physical shock."

Since the police investigation results have not yet been finalized, the agency said they cannot disclose detailed information, but expressed, "We fully understand how painful the bereaved family’s hearts must be and offer our deepest apologies to them."

On the evening of the 1st, around 11:50 PM, Lim Seul-ong was driving an SUV on a road in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, when he struck a man identified as Mr. A who was jaywalking at a crosswalk. Mr. A died while being transported to a nearby hospital.

On the 1st, Lim Seul-ong was driving his vehicle when the accident occurred on a rainy road. While driving, he collided with a pedestrian crossing the road. Lim Seul-ong immediately provided first aid at the scene, but unfortunately, the victim passed away while being transported to the hospital.

Lim Seul-ong underwent police investigation according to procedure and was later released to go home, but he is currently in a state of severe mental and physical shock.
