[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, large supermarkets and professional organizations in Deokyeon-dong, Suncheon City have joined forces to practice sharing and love in order to create a "Happier Deokyeon-dong Together."
It was recently reported that E-Mart Suncheon Branch, located in Deokyeon-dong, Suncheon City, delivered various daily necessities such as dish dryers, humidifiers, and portable lunch boxes to the Deokyeon-dong Saemaeul Women's Association (President Choi Soon) on the 31st of last month.
The Deokyeon-dong Saemaeul Women's Association plans to distribute the donated items to elderly people and neighbors in need who are in welfare blind spots within the community.
Choi Soon, president of the Deokyeon-dong Women's Association, stated, "Since this is a difficult time for everyone due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, we will carefully and sincerely deliver each precious donated item," and added, "We will continue to volunteer steadily to help neighbors in need and socially vulnerable groups."
Meanwhile, E-Mart Suncheon Branch has been actively participating in fostering a culture of sharing for neighbors in need by regularly donating daily necessities in cooperation with the Deokyeon-dong Saemaeul Women's Association every year, as well as continuously supporting holiday gift deliveries and year-end kimchi-making events.
