10 Jeonnam Vocational High School Students and Education Officials 'Final Pass' Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the final successful candidates for the 2020 local government public (career) competitive recruitment exam.


According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 3rd, the announced final successful candidates include 10 graduates (or prospective graduates) from specialized high schools: ▲ 2 from Mokpo Technical High School in Facilities (Architecture), ▲ 2 from Suncheon Technical High School in Industry (General Machinery and General Electricity), ▲ 1 from Yeosu Petrochemical High School in Industry (General Machinery), ▲ 4 from Yeosu Information Science High School in Culinary Arts, and ▲ 1 from Jeonnam Culinary Science High School in Culinary Arts.


Following last year's public official recruitment exam, where 41 passed the Jeonnam local government exam, 14 passed the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education local exam, 19 passed the national 9th grade exam, 1 passed the Seoul city official exam, totaling 75, along with 61 non-commissioned officers, the advancement of Jeonnam vocational high school students into public service continues.


The Ministry of Personnel Management plans to select a total of 245 nationwide this year for high school graduates (national level), including 169 administrative positions and 76 technical positions, with the written exam scheduled for the 26th of next month.


According to the government's high school graduate employment activation plan announced on January 25 last year, the proportion of high school graduate national public officials is expected to increase to 20%, and local public officials to 30% by 2022.


Lee Hyun-hee, Director of the Future Talent Division, said, “Jeonnam vocational high schools are making continuous efforts to improve the quality of student employment,” and added, “We will do our best to support the spread of a high school graduate employment culture and strengthen employment capabilities so that more students can find careers suited to their aptitudes and secure employment.”
