Busan Family Court Signs Support Agreement ... Agrees to Sponsor Youth Recovery Center
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters and Busan Family Court held a business agreement ceremony on the 30th to support juvenile offenders.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters held a business agreement ceremony with the Busan Family Court at the Busan Court Complex on the 30th and donated 15 million won to the Youth Recovery Center to support juvenile probationers.
The event was attended by officials from the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, Lee Il-ju, Chief Judge of the Busan Family Court, and Ok Yeon-ho, Director of the Busan Pureun Yeolmae Youth Recovery Center.
Through the agreement, the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters provided 15 million won in donations to three Youth Recovery Centers that do not receive government subsidies. The funds from the Gori Headquarters will be used to help juvenile probationers who have received protective measures under the Juvenile Act from the Busan Family Court reintegrate into society.
Youth Recovery Centers are alternative families entrusted by the Busan Family Court to protect and nurture juvenile probationers, and currently, eight centers operate in Busan.
The donation fund has been raised for three consecutive years since 2018 through the Dandelion Seed Fund contributed by employees of the Gori Headquarters.
Lee Sin-seon, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “We sympathized with the purpose of the juvenile probationer support project promoted by the Busan Family Court,” adding, “We hope this will help juvenile probationers grow into healthy members of society without reoffending.”
