[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT officially launches the Apple premium pad replacement program ‘KT iPad Super Change’ and the high-end pad damage insurance ‘Pad Premium Damage’ on the 3rd.
‘iPad Super Change’ is a program that allows customers who use premium pads priced at 1.2 million KRW or more for 24 months to receive compensation of up to 50% of the original price when upgrading to a new model.
For customers who use premium pads for a long time, an option to receive up to 30% compensation after 36 months of use has also been added. Additionally, reflecting the needs of customers who wish to switch to a mobile phone after using a pad, it is possible to exchange for an iPhone 5G model to be released in the future. At this time, using KT partner cards can further reduce the purchase burden.
KT 5G plan users of ‘Super Plan Special’ or higher and LTE plan users of ‘DataON Premium’ can use the smart device plan ‘Data Together Large’ for free at 11,000 KRW per month (VAT included). The Data Together Large plan allows sharing of smartphone data (up to 100GB) along with 1GB of data provided monthly.
KT also launched the ‘Pad Premium Damage’ insurance (1,800 KRW per month), which compensates up to 800,000 KRW in case of damage. KT had previously operated damage insurance (1,600 KRW per month) that compensated up to 500,000 KRW for pad damage, but considering the price of the iPad Pro, this product was added to allow customers to use their devices with greater peace of mind.
An Chi-yong, KT Sales Headquarters Director (Executive Director), said, “We launched the iPad Super Change and Pad Premium Damage products so that any KT customer can enjoy various benefits depending on the device type,” and added, “KT will continue to introduce diverse and differentiated services from the customer’s perspective.”
