[Breaking News] MS in Talks to Acquire TikTok... 'Negotiations Targeted for September 15'

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Microsoft (MS) announced on the 2nd (local time) that it will complete negotiations to acquire the mobile video sharing app 'TikTok' by September 15. MS added that it will continue discussions with the U.S. government regarding the TikTok acquisition.

The U.S. economic media outlet CNBC evaluated that if this deal is finalized, MS will be able to resolve the TikTok issue, which had raised concerns about information leakage to China, and also expand its role in the social networking service (SNS) market, which has great growth potential.
