One-Click Verification Without Civil Document Issuance... Check Land Category, Area, Owner Information... Confirm Private Roads Across the District via Old Website, Download Maps
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is providing a smart map service called ‘Yeongdeungpo-gu Private Road’ on the district website, allowing users to view information about privately owned roads at a glance without issuing real estate civil complaint documents.
The ‘Private Road Service’ visualizes the status of private roads across the entire district on a map, enabling users to check road information such as lot number, land category, and area through map tagging in a one-click road information system.
Additionally, anyone can easily download the computerized drawings in PDF format and the parcel attribute information organized in Excel all at once.
The district explained that it had been difficult to grasp land status during road paving and water/sewer construction, and frequent parking and land disputes occurred on private roads, causing many challenges in performing road-related tasks. Therefore, by opening the public data held by the district, a fast and accurate road information platform accessible to anyone was established.
Starting consultations with Seoul City in February, the district extracted 1,023 parcels corresponding to private roads out of a total of 39,944 parcels in the district, conducted aerial photo and drawing data maintenance, and on-site investigations. Following this, the collected data was integrated and processed to complete the computerized system for private roads in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
The service officially began operation on August 1 and can be accessed by clicking the shortcut for Yeongdeungpo-gu Private Road under Real Estate in the Field Information section on the Yeongdeungpo-gu website.
As of 2019, the number of real estate-related civil complaint document issuances reached approximately 29,900 cases.
By actively utilizing the newly established computerized system for private roads, it is expected to reduce the effort of visiting for document issuance and improve the work efficiency of the responsible staff.
Moreover, since it is available for free viewing, users can also benefit from reduced fees.
Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “Anyone can easily check private road information through the district website, which will greatly help in understanding land status,” and added, “We will continue to provide transparent administration that meets diverse civil complaint demands through active information disclosure.”
