[Asia Economy Reporter Noo Rae] ○…"My goal is to live beyond 130 years old."
This is the unusual wish of 'Hulk' Bryson DeChambeau (USA, photo). In a recent interview with GQ magazine, he said, "My real goal is to live until 130 to 140 years old," adding, "I believe it is entirely possible with modern science." He further explained, "You can extend your lifespan through scientific dietary methods and filtered drinking water." The longest-lived person in human history was Jeanne Calment, a French woman who died in 1997 at the age of 122.
DeChambeau is known as the 'scientist of the field' for personally experimenting with various scientific hypotheses, including an iron set of the same length. Recently, he gained attention by increasing his body weight by about 20 kg and dramatically improving his swing speed through systematic exercise and nutrition management. He raised his driving distance, which was average before, to the top level on the PGA Tour. This year, his average drive shot distance is 323.8 yards, proudly ranking first. He has accumulated six wins on the PGA Tour.
