[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] Three suspects who hacked the Twitter accounts of prominent Americans, including former President Barack Obama and Microsoft (MS) founder Bill Gates, have been arrested.


According to Bloomberg News, on the 31st (local time), the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it had arrested and charged 17-year-old Graham Ivan Clark, a resident of Florida, Nima Fazeli, also from Florida, and Mason Sheppard from the United Kingdom in connection with the celebrity Twitter account hacking incident.


Clark is reported to have led the hacking of celebrity Twitter accounts on the 15th, with Fazeli and Sheppard cooperating. They are accused of hacking over 130 Twitter accounts of celebrities and companies and conducting a Bitcoin scam worth approximately $100,000.
