Premium Billiard Hall 'Jakdang' Successfully Opens First Overseas Branch in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

The premium billiards hall brand ‘Jakdang’ has successfully opened its first store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, marking the beginning of its full-scale entry into the Vietnamese market.

According to a representative of ‘Jakdang,’ it is expected to be a great opportunity to introduce the brand to Vietnamese billiards consumers who have a favorable view of Korean billiards products and culture.

The store officially opened on the 20th of this month in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, occupying a two-story building with an area of approximately 825 pyeong (about 2,725 square meters).

The interior consists of the first and second floors. It is a spacious store equipped with a total of 28 billiard tables: 6 large tables, 10 medium tables, and 12 pocket tables.

The store features a simple yet trendy casual interior concept, creating an atmosphere where the main local target group, people in their 20s and 30s, can comfortably come with friends and enjoy themselves.

From the first week of opening, the store was bustling with Vietnamese customers.

‘Jakdang’ CEO Lee Tae-ho said, “Vietnam, with its massive domestic market nearing 100 million people and rapid growth, will serve as a foothold for us to actively expand into Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia, spreading the premium billiards hall culture.”

Additionally, sales of locally tailored products that suit the Vietnamese billiards culture style will be strengthened.

Having entered Vietnam for the first time, Jakdang billiards plans to aggressively target the Vietnamese market based on the stable operation of this store.

CEO Lee stated, “The Vietnamese market is in the early stages of franchise market formation, gradually developing among the young middle class, and with the strong influence of Hallyu culture, it is a region expected to see high growth rates,” indicating a stable entry into Vietnam in the future.
