On the morning of the 31st, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea held its 59th anniversary ceremony at the IBK Finance Tower in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the event was held on a small scale with executives and department heads without inviting external guests.

In his commemorative speech, President Yoon emphasized, “In the face of difficult economic conditions, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea must continue to be a reliable pillar for small and medium-sized enterprises,” and added, “We must focus on restoring trust damaged by Discovery and Lime.”

President Yoon called for innovative management to prepare for economic and social order changes caused by COVID-19, citing 'innovative finance' and 'proper management' as the two important wheels of innovative management. Key tasks for innovative finance include ▲establishing a comprehensive support center for startups and re-startups ▲nurturing 1,000 global innovative companies over the next five years ▲supplying 1.5 trillion KRW in venture capital over the next three years. Key tasks for proper management include establishing the IBK Proper Management Index and enacting the IBK Ethics Charter to enhance employees' compliance and ethical awareness for restoring customer trust.

At the ceremony, the bank also held the ‘IBK Ethics Charter Proclamation Ceremony’ to strengthen ethical management. The IBK Ethics Charter applies not only to IBK Industrial Bank of Korea but also to all its subsidiaries. President Yoon urged, “Let us take the Ethics Charter as a fundamental value to leap forward as a bank with the highest integrity rating and further realize zero financial accidents and corruption.”
