Sejong Telecom announced on the 30th that, together with Gogofactory, a specialized budget phone trading platform company, it will sell LTE postpaid SIM cards and eight types of plans at over 610 Daiso stores nationwide. After purchasing a SIM card at a Daiso store, customers can apply for activation immediately by signing up on the Gogomobile site (www.gogofactory.co.kr) operated by Gogofactory.

The representative plans include ▲ Snowman LTE Friend 100 (basic fee 4,400 KRW: 100 minutes voice, 100 texts, 100MB data), ▲ LTE Data Select 300M (basic fee 19,800 KRW: unlimited voice, unlimited texts, unlimited data (1Mbps speed after 300MB usage)), and ▲ Snowman LTE 10G 100 minutes (basic fee 22,000 KRW: 100 minutes voice, 100 texts, 10GB data).

Recently, as the share of self-purchased phones has increased in the domestic mobile phone distribution structure, the number of customers using postpaid SIM card plans that can be used immediately by just inserting the SIM card instead of mandatory contracts is also rising. According to market research firm Strategy Analytics (SA), the share of smartphone purchases through self-purchase channels is expected to be 11.8% of the total this year.
