[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Artificial intelligence company Saltlux announced on the 29th that it has won the project for the "Government-wide Civil Complaint Consultation 365 (Common Chatbot Platform) Construction" commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Saltlux, which recently became the first AI software company to be listed on KOSDAQ, will provide the government with world-class conversational AI technology currently used by financial institutions and large corporations. Participating in a consortium with Serim TSG, Saltlux succeeded in winning the first phase of the Government-wide Civil Complaint Consultation 365 (Common Chatbot Platform) construction project, solidifying its recognition as Korea's representative chatbot.
This project aims to provide conversational civil complaint consultation services from six administrative agencies (National Police Agency, Korea Customs Service, Military Manpower Administration, Korea Forest Service, Ministry of Unification, Ministry of the Interior and Safety) and a public institution (Government Employees Pension Service) as a single integrated common chatbot to the public this year. It enables rapid chatbot service provision without the need for separate information system construction.
Furthermore, this technology is expected to expand into a cloud-based system provided by Saltlux in the future. The first phase of this year’s project includes the construction of a responsive web-based integrated service channel (Civil Complaint Consultation 365 portal), platform development for conversational services, linkage with pre-existing chatbot services, implementation of nine new chatbot services, and establishment of foundational infrastructure (HW/SW). More than ten chatbot services are planned to be added annually thereafter.
Lee Kyung-il, CEO of Saltlux, stated, "The Government-wide Civil Complaint Consultation 365 construction project attracted over 100 companies to the e-government support project briefing even before its launch, making it the most anticipated project of the year. The competition rate was 10 to 1, with most domestic AI companies participating."
He emphasized, "By winning this project, which is recognized as the core platform for future government-wide non-face-to-face services, Saltlux will expand non-face-to-face AI services beyond the private sector into the public sector. We will do our best to build chatbots that the public can use easily and conveniently."
