NCSoft Selected as '2020 Korea's Top Job Creator'


[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft announced on the 29th that it has been selected as a '2020 Korea Job Leading Company' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.


Started in 2018 under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the 'Korea Job Leading Company' is a system that selects 100 excellent companies that have increased jobs and proactively improved the quality of jobs.


The average age of NCSoft employees is 35.5 years old, with 50% of employees being under 35 years old. The total number of employees has also increased by 70% over the past five years. Since 2005, NCSoft has conducted open recruitment for new employees every year.


NCSoft has been operating the industry's first 'Flexible Working Hours System' since January 2018, allowing employees to freely set their own commuting times. Based on a 40-hour workweek, employees can decide their working hours according to their individual work and life patterns. In October 2019, the company abolished the comprehensive wage system.


NCSoft also supports employees' childcare. It operates an in-house daycare center called 'Utnun Ddangkoong' within the Pangyo R&D Center, covering an area of 500 pyeong. It provides an environment where up to 200 employees' children aged from 1 to 5 years old can stay.


NCSoft contributes to expanding jobs for vulnerable workers through certification as a 'Subsidiary-type Standard Workplace for the Disabled' by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. Its subsidiary, NCSoft Service, has established facilities for the convenience of disabled employees and meets the employment requirements for the disabled. Currently, 25 disabled employees (including 13 severely disabled) are working in various roles.


Goo Hyunbeom, CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer), stated, "We will become a company that leads the creation of quality jobs where young IT talents can work together," and added, "We will support employees' healthy and balanced lives and strive to establish a creative and flexible work culture."
