By age group, visitors increased evenly from teenagers to those in their 50s, with growth ranging from about 115% to 160% across each age group.
During the same period, the number of new users who newly registered on the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall also increased. New members in their teens, 50s, and 60s increased by 68%, 38%, and 80% respectively compared to the previous year.
Lotte Hi-Mart is strengthening its online business. Starting with the AS service platform installed on the mobile app in January, it introduced the mobile live broadcast program 'Heart Live' in April. In May, it also added the 'Gift' function, which allows easy sending and receiving of products regardless of time and place. In May, it launched the 'Home Interior Brokerage Platform' for consumers who want to decorate their own space. In July, it established 'HeartON TV,' an online video content platform dedicated to video commerce that provides not only home appliances but also various information.
Joo Kyung-jin, head of Lotte Hi-Mart online marketing team, analyzed, "The increase in visitors to the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall may be due to social influences such as reluctance to go outside, online school openings, and longer indoor stays due to telecommuting. In addition, the various new services introduced this year likely had the effect of attracting customers."
Lee Chan-il, head of Lotte Hi-Mart online business division, said, "The number of consumers visiting the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall to purchase items other than home appliances, such as furniture and hygiene products, is also increasing. Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall plans to continue introducing various products and content in the future."
