[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics will unveil its new large-screen tablet 'Galaxy Tab S7' on the unpack stage, competing against the iPad. It will be released in two models, including a 12.4-inch Plus model. A keyboard will also be launched together, emphasizing productivity and usability comparable to laptops.
According to IT media WinFuture on the 28th (local time), the Galaxy Tab S7, set to be unveiled on August 5, will be released in two models: a Plus model equipped with a 12.4-inch OLED display and a basic model with an 11-inch LCD display. Both models are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate, a first for Samsung tablets.
The Galaxy Tab S7 is a new product launched just six months after the Galaxy Tab S6. Compared to the Galaxy Tab S6, which was released with a 10.5-inch screen, both models have larger screen sizes. The Plus model is an unprecedented 12-inch class model and also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The resolution is 2800*1752 pixels for the Plus model and 2560*1600 pixels for the basic model.

Just as Apple highlighted 'productivity' as a marketing point when launching the iPad, Samsung is also emphasizing accessories and features useful for document work. A keyboard with a large trackpad will be released to facilitate smooth document work. Just as Apple introduced the Magic Keyboard with the iPad, Samsung is presenting accessories to rival it. The leaked official rendering images also show the keyboard. Additionally, there are expectations that the 'DeX' mode, which allows connection to PCs or monitors, will support wireless environments as well. An S Pen with a reduced latency of 9ms, the same as the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, will also be provided.
The Galaxy Tab S7 is highly likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The rear camera specifications include a 13MP and 5MP dual camera, and the front camera is 8MP. It starts with models featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB memory. The 5G version supports higher RAM and memory specifications. The battery capacity is 10,090mAh for the Plus model and 7,040mAh for the basic model. The Plus model is thinner at 5.7mm compared to the basic model (6.34mm), but the basic model (495g) is lighter than the Plus model (590g). It will be released in three colors: Bronze, Silver, and Black.
