Lecture to be held on the 30th at 7 PM
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Gunsan City, Jeonbuk, will hold the third lecture of the Saemangeum Academy, which has been conducted online to prevent the spread of COVID-19, via live broadcast on YouTube.
According to the city on the 28th, the third lecture of the "Gunsan Saemangeum Academy," a lecture program for citizens featuring invited celebrities, will be held on the official Gunsan City YouTube channel from 7 p.m. on the 30th.
This lecture will invite Park Myungho, CEO of Gongjang Gongjang Co., Ltd., to give a talk on the theme "How should young people live in small local cities?" The lecture will focus on activities that allow young people living in the region to stay without leaving.
CEO Park Myungho is the head of the "It's Okay Village" and CEO of Gongjang Gongjang Co., Ltd., and has planned and overseen numerous festivals including the Hitchhiking Festival. He also operates the nationwide travel agency "Experroute," and his major publication includes the magazine "Island."
To deliver a vivid sense of the scene, the city plans to provide citizens with a real-time view of the lecturer giving the talk directly from the Gunsan Youth Garden Startup Center (Jangmi-dong).
Any citizen can participate by searching for "Gunsan City" on YouTube at 7 p.m. on the 30th, and inquiries can be made to the City Hall Education Support Division.
A Gunsan City official said, "We will continue to strive to make it easier for citizens to access lectures by celebrities through various methods."
Meanwhile, since 2000, the city has been holding the lectures with an audience of 200 to 300 people each time at the Gunsan City Hall auditorium, but to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community, the lectures have been conducted via online live broadcast since the second lecture.
