Bibros, operator of 'Ddokddak', secures 17.2 billion KRW investment

Growth Potential of 'Untact Healthcare Services' Highlighted Amid COVID-19 Impact

Bibros, operator of 'Ddokddak', secures 17.2 billion KRW investment

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Vibros, operator of the convenient hospital reservation service 'Ddokdak', announced on the 28th that it has completed an investment of 17.2 billion KRW.

In this investment, in addition to existing shareholders such as Ubicare, new investors including DS Asset Management, Samsung Venture Investment, LG Uplus, and KT Investment participated. As a result, Ddokdak is expected to enable cooperation not only with the existing electronic medical record (EMR) industry and pharmaceutical sectors but also with affiliated companies of the new investors such as Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, LG Uplus, and KT.

Through exclusive contracts with EMR companies, Ddokdak provides various non-face-to-face (untact) healthcare services such as mobile hospital reservation services, pre-consultation functions, and kiosks. Recently, due to concerns about the second wave of COVID-19 infections, it introduced services that allow hospital reception and payment to be completed non-face-to-face, establishing itself as a healthcare platform with 4.2 million registered members and over 13,000 partner hospitals.

Vibros plans to complete a 'service value chain' that helps patients manage their health conveniently and improves hospital work efficiency through this investment. The goal is to enable patients to handle all processes except for medical treatment during hospital visits?such as ▲hospital search ▲appointment reservation ▲payment of medical fees ▲claims for actual expense insurance?through Ddokdak. In the second half of this year, the company plans to strengthen hospital search services and launch an in-app medical fee payment service.

CEO Song Yong-beom said, "With this investment, new partners leading the insurance and telecommunications markets have joined, and we will create the PHR (Personal Health Record) era together according to Ddokdak’s service roadmap."
