Seongbuk-gu 'Dongseon-dong Neighborhood Map' Online Platform Construction

Community Mapping Map of Dongseon-dong Containing Various Living Information Directly Surveyed by Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Dongseon-dong Residents' Autonomous Committee in Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Seungro Lee) has partnered with the cooperative Gogae & Maeul to establish the 'Dongseon-dong Neighborhood Map' online platform.

The 'Dongseon-dong Neighborhood Map' is an online system that continuously revises and updates survey data on village maps, restaurants, and convenience facilities. Reflecting the characteristics of the neighborhood with a high proportion of single-person households, it archives living information of Dongseon-dong and creates community mapping maps with various thematic information.

In particular, this platform was created based on data collected by residents on foot as a result of the 'Creating Dongseon-dong Living Information Content' project, one of the Seoul Citizen Participatory Budget projects in the second half of 2019.

Seungro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “Now, as life is restricted due to COVID-19 and people are living in their neighborhoods with limited movement, I hope the 'Dongseon-dong Neighborhood Map' will be widely known and used by residents as an online guide to better understand and enjoy living in their neighborhood.”
