Opening of the Course "The World of Beauty for Employment Support of Marriage Immigrant Women"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 24th, the Gyeongnam Geochang-gun Marriage Immigrant Women announced that they have launched the makeup and nail art class "The World of Beauty for Marriage Immigrant Women" as an employment support program through the Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center.
This "The World of Beauty for Marriage Immigrant Women" program was planned by recruiting a total of 10 participants so that marriage immigrant women, who are relatively less proficient in Korean, can enhance their self-development and employment capabilities.
The program is conducted in connection with the local Gami Beauty Academy beauty school and consists of theoretical and practical courses on basic makeup and nail art.
Additionally, participants are expected to contribute to improving multicultural awareness as members of the local community, not just as simple beneficiaries, by participating in and utilizing beauty-related skills acquired through education in future local events and volunteer activities at social welfare facilities within the district.
A county official stated, "We support various employment support programs such as 'Resume and Cover Letter Writing Education' and 'Driver's License Written Test Preparation Class' to help marriage immigrant women prepare successfully for employment," adding, "We will do our best to expand social participation and help them settle stably as proactive members of Korean society, creating a happy, women-friendly city, Geochang."
