#Company A has transitioned to a digital system where artificial intelligence (AI) analyzes and interprets unstructured data on coil surfaces. AI detects defects on coil surfaces that inspectors previously identified visually, improving productivity and accuracy.


#Company B provided a service that prevents safety accidents by combining and analyzing physical data such as temperature, humidity, and vibration accumulated in energy storage systems through AI virtual sensors, along with existing energy big data like power generation and storage amounts.


On the 23rd, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will open the "Mid-sized Enterprise Digital Innovation Webinar" on the 24th to share digital innovation cases of mid-sized and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and discuss changes in business paradigms.


The Ministry, together with the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises and the Korea Industrial Intelligence Association, will conduct eight online training sessions from the 24th until the end of October for CEOs and employees of mid-sized and SMEs. About 2,000 people are expected to participate.


Under the theme of "Digital Innovation in Mid-sized Enterprises," 16 experts will give lectures in four areas: digital innovation, changes brought by AI, business paradigm shifts, and digital innovation cases by industry.


The lectures will share cases such as ▲ integrating digital technologies like AI and big data into core industries such as shipbuilding and steel to increase productivity ▲ creating new businesses based on digital technology in fields like fashion, healthcare, robotics, and industrial safety.


CEOs of excellent digital transformation companies and experts will serve as speakers, providing vivid on-site stories and insights on digital innovation. Online real-time Q&A sessions will also be held.


Kim Yongrae, Director of the Industrial Innovation Growth Office at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, "We will actively promote digital-based industrial innovation growth through the convergence of industrial domains such as semiconductors, automobiles, and shipbuilding with digital technologies like industrial data and AI."


Director Kim added, "Along with this training, we will hold a Mid-sized Enterprise Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Forum next month," and "In the second half of the year, we will create a platform for cooperation between startups and venture companies with digital technologies and mid-sized enterprises."
