[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) has established a content creator room consisting of a studio and an editing room for aspiring creators at the Youth Haenaem Center (Seoul Startup Cafe Cheonho Branch).

With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), offline education has been postponed, leading to the activation of online non-face-to-face lectures.

In response, the district has prepared a studio and editing room where online lectures can be conducted.

The key keyword of 2020 is undoubtedly 'YouTube.' The content creator room, a space for the increasing number of one-person creators, is available not only for video shooting but also for product shooting by startup companies.

Furthermore, anyone?from those who want to become YouTubers but lack ideas to those in the concrete planning stage?can apply for and attend the 'Content Creator Training Course' in August.

Use of the content creator room is by prior reservation and users can choose to use either the studio or the editing room. It is available to anyone regardless of age and is free of charge. However, reservations are not possible during closures due to COVID-19 or other reasons, so confirmation is necessary.

The creator training course consists of five lectures per session, covering ▲Understanding one-person media and startups, planning a YouTube channel ▲Creating a YouTube channel and decorating channel art (2 lectures) ▲Mastering YouTube channel introduction video editing ▲YouTube channel operation know-how and one-person media startup YouTube experience group.

Anyone interested in one-person media can participate, and after practical training, mentoring support is also provided. The training is free of charge.

Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, “As the COVID-19 pandemic prolongs, untact culture and digital-based business methods are gaining attention, increasing demand for one-person content creator businesses.” He added, “Through this project, we hope the use of content creator support infrastructure will be activated and that it will serve as an opportunity to inspire entrepreneurial will and opportunities.”
